ABC's of Mutualism

Three letters of the alphabet from an "ABC's of..." (A is for Apple, B is for Bug, etc.) project where my team explains mutualism in organisms. Letters assigned to each team member were random. Mine are W, N, and E. The final deliverables ended up being a physical card game accompanied by an interactive iPad game.

This was a great test of working within scope--the first time I felt confident on what I could deliver with a timeframe. There was less RnD, I knew how to animate, I knew I needed to simplify the characters instead of the hi-fidelity sculpts I usually make.

Sculpted in Zbrush. Animated and rendered in C4D with Arnold. To avoid UVing and retopo for the sake of time, I used material selections and various nodes to create textures that look painted--it's all a bunch of gradients and nodes hooked up.
