A quick ZBrush sculpting study of one of the birds from Bosch's Garden of Earthly Delights! 5 hours from start to finish. Working backwards bringing something that's likely based on a real life animal (or three) and making it belivable with semi-realistic structures is always fun, although the tail gave me the most grief.
Rendered with Arnold, the material has some pretty subsurface scattering to give the effect of something between marble and flesh. Just like Bosch's work--beautiful if a little uneasy.
